This is a tour of two most famous and favored cities of Kerman province including visit of some the natural and historical wonders of Kerman. In this tour you will visit both Mahan and Shahdad in a single day tour. It’s a perfect tour with a moderate level of adventure without being in rush of time! We will pick up and welcome you at your location. The journey start by traveling to Mahan city 30kms away from Kerman city. It takes half an hour to get to Mahan. We will visit two sites in Mahan. Shazdeh garden (Prince’s garden) of Mahan which is one of the most beautiful and iconic garden among the list of nine Persian gardens and a world heritage site for it’s architecture and beauty. In Mahan you will also have a chance to pay a visit to Shah nematollah vali mausoleum with 600 years of history. Then we will start our journey to Shahdad and the Lut desert to have a look and Martian nature of this wonderous desert. Please notice that traveling to Shahdad will be through the roads in the mountains’ so you will experience high variety of temperature and weather conditions in the road. Having proper clothing for both is recommended. Sometimes we have a chance of playing snowballs on the way to the desert! This part of the tour takes 1.5 up to 2 hours. In Shahdad we will see some of the historical sites including a water reservoir to get familiar with the way people used to live in this region. We will will also have a chance to explore the palm tree gardens (Nakhlestan) in the city. We will have a short stop in a desert lodge for lunch and then we will head to the desert area. Visiting Kaloots and the breathtaking landscapes of Lut desert will never be forgettable. We will wonder Kaloots until sunset. Then will head back to Kerman. The tour will be finished in a couple of hours after leaving Shahdad in Kerman city. The time of the tour ending depends on the season.
In the case that you choose to travel by 4WD cars, you will experience an off-road driving in deeper regions of Kaloots to see more unique landscapes.
