Traveling to Lut desert from Kerman city takes almost 140 kilometers of road trip and you will pass by some beautiful landscapes and a village called Sirch where you could take a peek to the old cypress tree in the center of the village. The city of Shahdad is also in the way to the desert. You guide will tell you about the rich history and the culture of the people in Shahdad. The ruins of the ancient civilization of Shahdad could be one your sites to see by your choice. In the case that you want to have lunch, it is possible to arrange it near Shahdad city or nearby villages.
Traveling to the Kaluts region of the Lut desert will be the next destination and along the way your guide will show some of the amazing historical sites and the Nebka park along the way. Kaluts of the Lut desert with it’s breathtaking landscapes will welcome you and you can spend the rest of your day exploring there. Gazing into the horizons to enjoy the sunsets will be unforgettable. By the way you could spend some more time to enjoy night sky in the desert.
Eventually your guide will drive you back to the Kerman city. This part of the tour takes another 140 kilometers of road trip which takes almost 2 hours. The tour will be finished at your desired location in Kerman city.

In this tour you will visit Mahan town and Shazdeh garden (UNESCO site) instead of historical sites of Shahdad and you will spend your second half of the day in the Kaluts of the Lut desert. It’s a bit more expensive but more diverse experience of the Kerman province. Not recommended for travelers who have Rayen or Bam listed.
